Marla Sweitzer (Sarasota, FL) is an artist currently based in Fresno. Her ceramic sculptures explore how changing light interacts with color as it falls across a hand-marked surface. Each structure acts as a walled form — blurring the distinction between architecture and landscape. She holds a MFA in Studio Art from University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
